Who we are
LFB Contractors Ltd is a building company based in Penyrheol, Caerphilly, run by Ross Walker. We have been working across the Caerphilly county borough and the surrounding valleys since 2023, originally trading as Look Fresh Building, Painting and Cleaning Services — the same team, the same phone number, a shorter name.
The work is mostly residential: whole-house renovations and refurbishments, extensions, garage conversions, kitchens and bathrooms, and the structural alterations that make open-plan layouts possible. We also take on roofing, driveways and complete garden transformations, which means a project that spans inside and out does not need two separate firms arguing over the join.
We are a limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16793849, and we carry public liability insurance. We are happy to send the certificate before work starts — just ask.
How we work
Every job starts with a visit. We measure up, talk through what you are trying to achieve, and put a written, itemised quotation in front of you before anything begins. We will not price building work over the phone, because there are too many variables for that to be fair to either of us.
Once you are happy, you get a start date and an order of works. We sequence our own trades so the site stays busy and the work lands in the right order — the most common reason a renovation drags on is that nobody owns the programme. We arrange the building control inspections the job needs rather than leaving them with you.
The site gets cleared and swept at the end of every working day, and the job is snagged before we ask you to sign it off. Those two things come up in our customer reviews more than anything else, which probably says something about the state of the trade.
